How To: Find Assignee

Finding an assignee allows you to quickly assign jobs to your team members in HelloTracks. You can do this from the Dispatch menu.


Step 1: Go to the Dispatch menu and select All Jobs.

Step 2: Select the date you want to find an assignee for the Job.

Step 3: Choose one of three ways to find and assign a Job:

Method 1: Drag to Assign

Step 1: Drag the Job directly to the team member's name on the dispatch board.

Method 2: Use the Assign to Bar

Step 1: Click on the specific Job you want to assign.

Step 2: In the "Assign to" bar that appears at the top, select the desired team member.

Step 3: Click Assign.

Method 3: Use the 'Find Assignee' Option

When you use the 'Find Assignee' option, Dispatch will recommend Workers for a job based on specific criteria to help you quickly pick the best Worker. This is how jobs are automatically assigned in Dispatch:

  • Availability: If the Worker is active and within working hours.
  • Proximity: Distance from the job location.
  • Team membership: Membership in the relevant team.
  • Skills/roles: If skills matching is enabled in your settings.
  • Priority rules: Such as first available or round-robin distribution.

Step 1: Choose the Job you want to assign and click the corresponding 'Find Assignee' button.

Step 2: Select the team member and click Assign.

Step 3: Click Save.
