Trips versus Stops

Trips represent the entire route traveled and show the following details:

  • Time - Starting time and end time.
  • Location - Starting point and destination.
  • Quality - Accuracy of the location data based on factors like GPS signal, internet connectivity, device performance, etc.
  • Distance - Total distance traveled.
  • Duration - Total trip duration.
  • Purpose and comment  - Additional details about the trip that Workers can select in the mobile app from predefined Purpose and Comment lists created by an Administrator. To learn how to set trip purpose and comment, click here.
  • Approval - Status of the trip’s purpose and comment (e.g., Pending or Approved). An Administrator or Operator can review and approve them after they are submitted by a Worker.

Stops refer to pauses during a trip and show the time spent at specific locations.

They are categorized as:

  • At place
  • At job
  • Stationary - Stops at locations not associated with a saved Place or Job.

Additional stop information:

  • Zones - Displayed when a stop occurs within a Zone.

Key Differences:

  • Trips track movement from one point to another and provide insights into travel time, distance, and location quality. To learn how to view registered trips, click here.
