How to Download & Sign Up in Hellotracks

This guide explains how to download the Hellotracks mobile app and sign up for a new account.

Joining your company? Don't tap Get started. Tap I have an invite code and follow How to Sign up with an Invite Code, or tap Log in with the login your administrator gave you. Get started creates a new account of your own or a new company.

Step 1: Search and install the Hellotracks app from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

Step 2: Open the Hellotracks app. On the welcome screen, tap Get started.

Step 3: On What's your email?, choose one:

Email: Enter your email address and tap Continue.
Continue with Google (Android and iPhone) or Continue with Apple (iPhone only): Follow the prompts from Google or Apple. You then skip the name and password steps and go straight to Step 6.

If your email already has a Hellotracks account, the app asks for your password and logs you in instead.

Step 4: On And your name?, enter your name and tap Continue.

Step 5: On Create your password, enter a password with at least 8 characters and tap Continue.

Step 6: On What brings you here?, tap the option that fits you:

Just me: Record your own trips and places.
Family or friends: Share locations in a private team.
My company: See your team on the map and dispatch jobs. Enter your company name and tap Create company, or tap Not now.

Step 7: On Set up your phone, tap Continue and allow what the app asks for: location, location when the screen is off, and notifications (on Android also keeping the app running in the background). Without these, Hellotracks can't record your trips reliably. You can tap Skip for now and finish this later.

When you see You're all set, your account is ready. Tap Open the map, or Invite your team if you created a company. Next time, log in with your email and password (or with Google or Apple).
