How to: Create a Place (Geofence)

Places (Geofences) are useful when wanting to use automatic check-ins and check-outs. This helps eliminate human error in manual entries at work stops and is particularly beneficial for recurring locations, such as head offices or repeat customer sites.

Step 1: Open the Hellotracks app on your Apple or Android device.

Step 2: Tap on the main menu in the upper left corner.

Step 3: Tap (+) button next to My places. 

Step 4: In the search bar, enter the location of the Place you want to create.

Step 5: Tap on the location, then select Save to my places.

Step 6: Enter a name for the Place, then tap Ok.

Step 7: Adjust the radius around the Place using the sliding scale, then tap Ok.

Step 8: To drop a pin and create a Place directly from the map, tap and hold with your finger for 3-4 seconds, then select Save to my places.
